Culloden comes to life with the Highlander! The Highlander will tell of his experiences in the Jacobite army as he followed Bonnie Prince Charlie to within 130 miles of London and the long road home to Culloden or of his experiences as he fought with Andrew de Moray, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce at the battles of Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn. Dressed in the traditional costume of the time and carrying authentic weapons and equipment, the Highlander will allow the audience to gain a true sense of the past, and learn how life in the Highlands has changed. Some of you will have seen our Highlander before, even so, you will love to hear him again. A good friend of MCLEANSCOTLAND, he will perform his unique story for you, show you the weapons of the time and leave you almost in tears, as he slows down towards the end of the battle, he tells us how the Government forces massacre the fallen. Tissues ready. At the end he will be answering questions and posing for photos. An experience not to be missed. 24 June 2012, Inverness.
