SEPTEMBER 9TH; arrive into Scotland at Glasgow, collect your rental car from the airport and head north bypassing Glasgow itself, to Loch Lomond, where you can take a rest break while looking out over this world famous loch. From here there are two options for your journey, which we will detail in your printed tour notes. Arriving at OBAN and staying at;  Caledonian Hotel.

SEPTEMBER 10TH; more choices today - a sail and drive onto Mull, or a trip back into history by visiting 5000 year old standing stones, burial cairns and Templar graves: Kilmartin Glen.  Overnight again at Oban.

SEPTEMBER 11TH; departing Oban east for Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, ending in the Great Glen, at the start of Loch Ness turning north for Loch Duich and Eilean Donan castle shown right. You will end the day at; Conchra House Sallachy Rd, Dornie, overlooking the loch.

SEPTEMBER 12TH; when ready departing east back to the mainland to your goal for this evening; Stonehaven.  We will be suggesting optional routes in your tour notes, but briefly, either to Inverness and through Speyside and Aberdeenshire, or - through to Perth and along the coast to Stonehaven; Bay View - A luxury penthouse apartment with a full length balcony facing the North Sea; comprise of two bedrooms, bathroom and a luxury lounge with cooking facilities and dining area. Breakfast is also provided here, superb! Shown above.
SEPTEMBER 13TH; this morning you need drag yourselves away and head south again, possibly following the coastal road with suggested stops including Dunnottar castle, as in tour notes.  Your day ends at a lovely wee place Broughty Ferry, at the Broughty Ferry Hotel. One of our partners lives in the Ferry, so we know the best pubs!

SEPTEMBER 14TH; a trip across the River Tay into Fife and St Andrews.  Eventually ending the day at Culcreuch Castle - one of Scotland's oldest hotels with the main hotel building dating from the 14th century! Two superior rooms await you here.

SEPTEMBER 15TH; based from the castle, exploring the local area, including Stirling, the Trossachs, east Loch Lomond, Perthshire - so much choice! Overnight at the castle once again.

SEPTEMBER 16TH; the final part of the tour, as you head the short distance into our capital; Edinburgh. As soon as you have dropped your luggage at the hotel drop off the car, as Edinburgh is a walking city, no real need for a car here, and parking is a nightmare anyhow! Your hotel is not really a hotel, more of a club; The Royal Scots Club in the new town, quiet enough but close to everything!

SEPTEMBER 17TH; another superb day of exploring Edinburgh, see link above for ideas. Overnight at the Scots Club again.

SEPTEMBER 18TH; taxi to the airport for homeward trip!

As with any Scottish tour, there is ample opportunity for golf, whisky distilleries and many lochs and glens!
